Solar Display for Kostal Inverters
With the KOSTAL Solar Portal, system operators and installers have access to the most important data from their photovoltaic system at any time. Large solar displays can retrieve data from the KOSTAL Solar Portal and are therefore compatible with all components.
To use a photovoltaic display for visualizing energy data, only a power and internet connection are required on-site. The system is therefore compatible with any photovoltaic system featuring inverters or components from KOSTAL; the only requirement is an internet connection via LAN or Wi-Fi. This has the advantage that you do not need direct cabling between the inverter or monitoring components and the large solar displays. As a result, you can choose a location for the solar display that is completely independent of your location and offers great spatial flexibility.

Communication between the Kostal Solar portal and Solarfox display
- The photovoltaic system generates direct current.
- The inverter converts the solar energy into alternating current (solar power).
- The yielded information is transferred directly from the inverter or monitoring component to the Internet.
- After a Solarfox online account has been created, the Solarfox® web server accesses the data in the KOSTAL Solar Portal and generates a slideshow which you can configure individually via web browser.
- The Solarfox® display retrieves the data from the web server via the Internet and displays the data in an attractive visual slideshow. For this purpose, the Solarfox display only needs to retrieve data via the Internet through port 80.

ADDITIONAL COSTS FOR THE KOSTAL SOLAR PORTAL CONNECTION
Kostal provides plant operators with an overview for system monitoring. The plant data is transmitted to the Kostal Solar Portal. API access is required so that this data can be accessed by third-party systems such as SOLARFOX®. This means that there is server-based communication between SOLARFOX® and Kostal, in which the required raw data is transmitted automatically. With the recent introduction of the new portal from Kostal, they have introduced a new chargeable interface for this data retrieval. In order to ensure the simplest and most user-friendly process possible for system operators and installers, SOLARFOX® covers the connection of the system and the billing in one process.

Visualisation via Kostal solar portal and combination with other systems and inverters
